Ronnie Holmes Nominated for President-Elect of Kentucky School Boards Association

Graves County Schools

A longtime Graves County Schools board member has been nominated to lead a group advocating for public education across the state.

Charles ‘Ronnie’ Holmes has been endorsed by the Kentucky School Boards Association’s nominating committee to serve as its president elect.

His nomination needs to be ratified by the members in February during the association’s annual conference in Louisville.

Holmes owns a contracting business in Mayfield and has served on the Graves County Board of Education since 1985.  He previously served as regional chairperson for districts in the KSBA’s first region.

If confirmed, Holmes will serve two years as president elect under the presidency of David Webster of Simpson County.

Rob Canning is a native of Murray, KY, a 2015 TV Production grad of Murray State. At MSU, he served as team captain of the Murray State Rowing Club. Rob's goal is to become a screenwriter, film director or producer and looks to the likes of Quentin Tarantino and Guy Ritchie for inspiration. He appreciates good music, mainly favoring British rock n' roll, and approves of anything with Jack White's name on it. When not studying, rowing or writing, Rob enjoys spending his free time with a book or guitar.
