The President of the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education is retiring.

According to a release, Bob King will retire on June 10. The agency coordinates postsecondary and adult education efforts in the commonwealth. King was named CPE president in 2009.

The CPE credits King for leading the development and implementation of the state’s performance funding model.

King has served as chancellor of the State University of New York and CEO of the Arizona Community Foundation. He serves on the board of trustees for A.T. Still University in Missouri.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007. Prior to that, he was a graduate and undergraduate assistant. He is currently the host of the international music show Imported on Sunday nights at 10 p.m.
