LBL's Woodlands Nature Station's Aviva Yasgur describes its weekend of outdoor activities with critter observation as well as hands-on workshops in outdoor cooking, kayaking and atlatl spear chucking. Nature Center spokesperson Aviva Yasgur is here with all the details about this weekend's first ever "Tame the Wild Outdoor Kids Festival," and speaks with Kate Lochte on Sounds Good about activities from critter observation, outdoor cooking, kayaking and atlatl spear chucking.

Nestled in the woods between Honker and Hematite Lakes, the Nature Station serves as a gateway to the 8,500-acre Nature Watch Area. It is staffed with "go to" specialists for wildlife viewing throughout Land Between the Lakes.
Events are rain or shine with adjustments to schedules as needed. The Nature Station turn-off to the east of the Trace is about halfway between the North Welcome Station and the Golden Pond Visitors Center.
