KYTC: Avoid Travel In Western McCracken, Southeastern Ballard Today

Emergency Management and the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet are asking motorists to avoid travel in western McCracken County and southeastern Ballard County for the rest of the day. 

KYTC, utility, fire and rescue crews are working to clear tornado damage, including utility lines, downed trees and other debris.

According to KYTC, grain bins, barns, homes and other debris are reportedly blocking the roadway at US62/Blandville Road between KY305/Fisher Road and the KY 286 intersection at Milan Station.

There are additional reports of damage to trees, power lines and utility poles in the area.

Numerous tornado warnings were issued across the region on Thursday. A tornado watch remains in effect until 5 p.m.
