From the Associated Press:
A Kentucky House committee will consider a Senate bill today allowing the Amish to forego bright orange slow-moving vehicle triangle in favor of strips of reflective tape on their horse-drawn buggies. The Amish object to the triangle on religious grounds. Both the House and Senate have passed versions of the measure. Bill sponsor, Murray Republican State Senator Ken Winters, says the bill has an emergency clause allowing it to go into effect quickly. The measure was prompted by recent jailing of Amish men in Graves County for refusing to pay fines related to not using the orange signs.
