Paducah Mayor Gayle Kaler and Judge Executive Bob Leeper issued the State of the City and County addresses this morning to the Paducah Area Chamber of Commerce.
This is Leepers first such speech, he was optimistic.
"This is the greatest community in the world," said Leeper. "There's no 'oh-why' here. Bottom line is jobs, we're going to create some jobs and bring some people here. We have noting to ask 'oh-why' about. We're just going to make the greatest better."
Leeper noted several county projects that would receive attention in the New Year including a two mile walk and bike path along County Park Road near the Greenway Trail.
Mayor Kaler said she would like to see a greater cooperation between the county and city governments.
“The city is the county,” said Kaler.
