Kentucky Governor Matt Bevin has ordered flags at buildings across the state to be flown at half-staff Friday out of observance of the passing of Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. He was 79.
The flags will be lowered at sunset tomorrow and remain there through Saturday. The aftermath of his death has created controversy with Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell saying the US Senate will not confirm any candidate President Obama nominates until a new president is in office, 11 months from now.
