Paducah Man Charged with Murder Following Tuesday Stabbing

A Paducah man has been charged in the fatal stabbing of another Tuesday.

Around 11:30am Tuesday, sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to Poole Road south of Paducah for a reported stabbing.  They located Jerry Staten, 28, of Paducah on the side of the roadway with a single stab wound to his chest.  He died of his injuries while being transported to Lourdes Hospital.  

In the ensuing investigation, 27-year-old Robert Lambert was questioned by detectives and admitted to the stabbing.

The Commonwealth’s Attorney brought down a murder charge against Lambert.  

He is being lodged in the McCracken County Jail.
