The Kentucky Board of Elections has certified the results of the November 8 general election, officially completing the administrative process by distributing certificates to candidates receiving the highest votes.

In a release Tuesday, Secretary of State Alison Lundergan Grimes also said that presidential electors will meet December 19 at the Supreme Court Room in Frankfort where they will cast their official votes on behalf of Kentucky for President and Vice President.

Republican nominee and now president-elect Donald Trump easily won Kentucky’s eight electoral votes in the general election.

Approximately 1.95 million Kentuckians, or 59% of registered voters, cast ballots in the general election.
