Windhorst Wins Illinois GOP Primary for 118th State Rep.

Massac County State's Attorney Patrick Windhorst has won the Republican primary for the southernmost Illinois House District 118 seat. 

Windhorst defeated GOP opponents Sam Stratemeyer and Wes Sherrod.

He has called for reforming the property tax system that he says is causing people to leave to neighboring states. He also called for reforming workers compensation insurance and vowed to address term limits.

He will take on incumbent Democrat Natalie Phelps Finnie in the November midterm election.
