Kentucky September Unemployment Rate Same Between 2017 and 2018

The Kentucky unemployment rate for September stayed the same between 2017 and 2018 at 4.3 percent.

That’s according to the Kentucky Center for Statistics. Rates fell in the Purchase Region as well as Caldwell, Hopkins, Livingston and Trigg counties in the Pennyrile.

The unemployment rates stayed the same in Christian and Lyon counties. Rates rose in Crittenden, Muhlenberg and Todd counties. Calloway and Logan had some of the lowest jobless rates in the state -- at 3.5 percent. The national unemployment rate is 3.6 percent.
