Republican Curtis L. Dame was elected Judge/Executive of McLean County during the general election Tuesday night.
Dame took 44 percent of the votes with 1,554 total. Opponent Earl Melloy ran on the Democrat ticket and received 37 percent of votes with 1,301 votes.
Dame is the chair-elect of the Hopkins County Regional Chamber of Commerce and a graduate of Murray State University. Incumbent Judge/Executive and write-in candidate Ed West received 656 votes. Bevin appointed West as Judge/Executive in May.
