Gov. Matt Bevin has ordered flags at all state office buildings to be lowered to half-staff on Friday in honor of a Fort Campbell soldier killed in Iraq.

34-year-old Chief Warrant Officer 3 Taylor Galvin died while supporting Operation Inherent Resolve. He was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment at Fort Campbell.

The Department of Defense says Galvin died on August 20 in Baghdad as the result of injuries sustained in a helicopter crash. The incident is under investigation.

Galvin was from Spokane, Washington. Services for Galvin are Friday at Cedar Key Cemetery in Cedar Key, Florida, according to the governor's office.

Matt Markgraf joined the WKMS team as a student in January 2007.
