Commonwealth Attorney intervenes in local business dispute

By Casey Northcutt

Madisonville, KY – A Madisonville attorney is working to solve problems for residents caught in dispute between two local businesses. Commonwealth Attorney David Massamore says Fifth Third Bancorps froze Browning Chevrolet accounts during disputes over financing, forcing the car lot to close. Since its closure some customers have been unable to pick-up their cars that have been in for service. Other clients have been unable to retrieve their vehicle titles. After Massamore met with both the Fifth Third and Browning, dealership staff returned to the lot to deal with customer needs. The attorney also warns Browning employees that their payroll checks might not clear because of the dealership's frozen accounts. Massamore says Browning Chevrolet is closed permanently.
