Madisonville, KY – The Madisonville-Hopkins County Public Library is moving, at least for a little while. Consulting mechanical engineers say the downtown location has structural damage and needs repair. Library Technology Coordinator Sharon Gibbs says workers will move some of the library materials and the public computers over to the Parkway Plaza Mall. All materials will be available upon request. Gibbs says they hope to be set up in the new location by mid-August. She expects repair work to last through the end of 2009 or early 2010. Library officials hope to use money from a coal severance grant for the project.
