Clarksville, TN – The Clarksville, Tennessee Parks and Recreation Committee has decided to start over with a plan to place security cameras in city parks. The Clarksville Leaf-Chronicle reports the committee had purchased four cameras, but those were not compatible with their digital service system. Officials are now discussing whether to sell the old cameras and buy replacements, or exchange them for compatible ones. Crime at the parks has mostly been limited to vandalism, but police had two reported assaults in Heritage Park last year.
