Frankfort, KY – The Kentucky Public Service Commission is forecasting lower natural gas prices this winter. PSC Chairman David Armstrong says wholesale prices will be 39-percent lower this November compared to last year. The drop comes as a result of abundant natural gas supplies and market stabilization. Armstrong says individual savings will vary by customer, and he says homes that use electric heat will not see a change. PSC officials still urge Kentuckians to weatherize their homes. Armstrong says it's still a good idea to reduce energy costs in the long term.
