Paducah, KY – Weather forecasters say New Year's Eve celebrations could be hampered by slick roads and colder temperatures moving into Kentucky. National Weather Service meteorologists say precipitation left on roads from Wednesday evening showers will likely freeze as a cold front moves in tonight. So, people heading out this evening to ring in the new year should be cautious as they encounter possible slick spots on roads throughout the state.
Colder temperatures moving in from an arctic system will drop temperature highs into the 20s beginning Saturday and last into next week. Lows will be in the teens. Forecasters expect very little precipitation as the chillier weather moves in.
