Murray, KY – We have a winter weather advisory for our area from midnight tonight until 6pm Thursday. The advisory is in effect south of a line from Elkton and Bardwell, Kentucky onward to Doniphan, Missouri. The winter storm watch is no longer in effect. Snowfall is expected to be heaviest from midnight tonight through midday tomorrow. Totals of 2 to 3 inches are likely. Temperatures will remain below freezing through the period, so all snow that does fall will accumulate with no melting. Also, northwest winds tomorrow may cause areas of blowing snow making travel even more hazardous across the region. The snow pack and another surge of arctic air in the storm's wake will drive temperatures into the single digits to near zero Friday and Saturday night. Wind chill readings may also fall to ten below later this week.
