Fort Campbell, KY – Fort Campbell officials say they will end their Don't Ask Don't Tell policy if required by law. Their statements come after Defense Secretary Robert Gates said he supports President Obama's decision to seek the repeal of the policy. Fort Campbell Public information officer Kelly Tyler told the Clarksville Leaf Chronicle the post will comply with any change in federal law. The law still prohibits homosexual conduct, but seeks to respect the dignity of all soldiers. Currently, soldiers are not allowed tell others about their sexual orientation. Any soldier found to be homosexual is discharged from the military.
