Paducah, KY – The House Transportation Committee unanimously passed a bill yesterday that would create a team of water transportation advisors. Representative Will Coursey of Benton sponsored the Bill. The bill would create a seven-member board to counsel the General Assembly in safe and economically smart water transport decisions. The same bill passed three years ago in the House, but failed in the Senate. This year, supporters have high hopes of the bill's passage because it doesn't require funds appropriations.
