Oak Grove, KY – The Oak Grove City Council is expected to change their stance on grants to improve the city's water and sewer system. The council meets tomorrow night and will vote again on the issue. Members had previously voted against seeking the nearly 7 and a half million dollars in funding. However, Mayor Dan Potter says sentiments changed after members realized the move could endanger a proposed shopping center. The retail project, which could lead to between four and five thousand regional jobs, is already in the development stage. Potter says the council's move also hindered development at the local industrial park.
