Former Detective Found Not Guilty of Homicide

Murfreesboro, TN – A Murfreesboro, Tennessee, jury has found a former sheriff's detective not guilty of reckless homicide in the death of a Hopkinsville girl. Ex-detective Ron Killings struck an 11-year-old Lakeisha White with his cruiser in July 2008. She was visiting her grandparents in Tennessee when the accident occurred. Killings, a 12-year veteran of the department at the time, testified that he was responding to a call for help from another officer.
