Paris, TN – Henry County, Tennessee is expecting its share of the state's allocated $10 million dollars to assist local 911 centers. Henry's Enhanced 911 District will get a total of $75,000 in grant money; 12,000 of which is to be used to pay for dispatcher training. The Paris Post Intelligencer reports 99 other emergency communications districts are sharing the funds, which come from ending wireless carrier subsidies to expand enhanced 911 service capabilities, like pinpointing a cell phone caller's location in any area of the state.
