Murray, KY – According to a new study by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and the University of Wisconsin, Calloway is the third healthiest county in Kentucky. Lyon County is ranked 18th, while Marshall and Carlisle place in the mid-twenties. The study combines mortality rates, health-related quality of life factors and birth outcomes to compare the counties. In Tennessee, Montgomery County ranks tenth and Weakley County places 21st. The study ranks Illinois' southernmost counties as the unhealthiest in the state.
