Paducah, KY – Paducah City Commissioners will redraft a tree protection ordinance after receiving feedback from many residents and realtors. As it's written now, the ordinance would require those who remove trees 18 inches or more in diameter to replace them with three or more new trees. Several developers warn the bill will hinder growth in the city. Proponents of the bill say they want to protect the city's tree canopy.
