Frankfort, KY – Kentucky U.S. Senate candidate Trey Grayson is airing a third attack ad this week, this one questioning rival Republican Rand Paul's views on national security. Grayson says in the latest ad, airing on cable television around Fort Knox and Fort Campbell, that Paul wants to cut military spending, a charge that Paul denies. Paul, the perceived front-runner in the Republican primary race, says Grayson is airing what Paul called "distortions and outright lies" because he has fallen behind. Grayson is also running ads in the mountain region alleging Paul is unfriendly to the coal industry and on Christian radio saying that Paul isn't opposed to abortion. Paul denies both those claims as well.
