Chicago, IL – Republican Mark Kirk is criticizing his Illinois U.S. Senate race opponent Democrat Alexi Giannoulias for his time at a bank that gave bad loans. Broadway Bank, owned by Giannoulias' family, is trying to shore up its shaky finances. Kirk, a five-term congressman, says Giannoulias must answer questions about his involvement with bad loans at the bank. Giannoulias worked at the bank before being elected state treasurer in 2006.
