Paducah, KY – Governor Steve Beshear has written a letter to help convince investors and potential partners to get behind planning a coal to liquid fuel plant in Paducah. Beshear tells the Paducah Sun he hopes to see some movement on the project soon. Paducah-based Clean Coal Resources is planning the $7.6 billion plant in western McCracken County that would create more than 1,000 permanent jobs. A meeting planned this month in Chicago could see a decision to move forward with the project, which has been delayed for over a year because of the economy.
