Paducah, KY – Kentucky Governor Steve Beshear announced today that Paducah-based Waterway Innovations will receive $150 thousand for new technology developments. Nine new high-paying jobs are another possibility. The award came from the Cabinet for Economic Development's High-Tech Pool. Officials from the Kentucky Economic Development Finance Authority (KEDFA) approved the money. KEDFA officials will assist in the creation of barge monitoring and wireless GPS tracking. Officials expect the new technology will be more efficient.
