Chamber of Commerce Surveys

By Rebecca Feldhaus

Murray, KY – The Murray Calloway County Chamber of Commerce is receiving feedback from 850 email surveys sent out last week. The surveys address employee concerns about a potential payroll tax and other budgetary issues. So far, Director Lance Allison says results are coming in on both sides of the payroll tax issue. Allison says the Chamber will be ready to respond appropriately to any decision the city council makes.

"Since it's in the discussion period, you wonder, Do you make a stance now, or do you wait?' We'll be ready. It does though, give us a lot of solid data to formulate that letter to the council asking them to slow down."

242 surveys have been returned as of this morning, and Allison says official numbers will be released at the end of the week.
