Murray, KY – Murray State University and Men's Basketball Head Coach Billy Kennedy is expected to sign a contract extension today. Athletic Director Allen Ward tells the Paducah Sun it would take a major school at this point to lure Kennedy away. The extension comes after 31 wins this season, including winning the first game in the NCAA tournament for the second time in the school's history. Under his current contract, Kennedy is paid a base salary of $140,000, which is set to expire in 2012. This is Kennedy's fourth year with Murray State.
