Murray, KY – Murray State President Dr. Randy Dunn Wednesday selected current MSU Associate Provost Dr. Bonnie Higginson to serve as the school's next provost. The selection comes as a surprise following a national search for the position that didn't include Higginson as a finalist. Current Provost Dr. Gary Brockway is retiring this summer. Higginson has 30 years of higher education experience. She's received undergraduate and graduate degrees from Murray State and a PhD from the University of Georgia. Higginson officially takes the Provost's role in July.
