Paducah, KY – The Reidland-Farley Fire Department trustee board has filed administrative charges against suspended Chief Richard Tapp. The board accuses Tapp of inefficiency and violating the terms of his contract because of his absence stemming from an unspecified illness. The Paducah Sun reports trustees will hold a hearing on April 12th, where Tapp could be fired if he's found guilty of the charges. Tapp has been living near Memphis, Tennessee on medical leave from the McCracken County volunteer fire department for about three months now. That leave expired Friday, which had delayed the board from filing the charges.
