Frankfort, KY – Governor Steve Beshear is again attempting to recover losses incurred by Kentuckians who gambled on websites like Full Tilt Poker. His administration filed a second lawsuit late last month in Franklin Circuit Court against Ireland-based Pocket Kings, the company that operates the Full Tilt site. The Louisville Courier-Journal reports the lawsuit cites an obscure state law in an attempt to recover three times the amounts lost by people who placed online bets. An attorney who represents online gambling interests says the gambling sites will argue that the transactions didn't actually occur in the Commonwealth because none of the Web site operators are located in the state.
