Paducah, KY – Paducah Tilghman High School is set to begin the first phase of a facelift on its aging building this summer. The plan is to replace the 50's-era original glass block fa ade on the building's north side, while the restoring the glass block on the east, west and south walls. The school plans to replace the less-efficient steel-framed windows with aluminum-framed thermal ones. The school's gym will also be renovated, installing a new floor, locker rooms and machinery. Superintendent Randy Greene tells the Paducah Sun the work is badly needed.
