Frankfort, KY – The Kentucky Office of Highway Safety presented over $365 thousand in mini-grants to aid regional highway law enforcement. The six-month grants that run from now until the end of September will go toward efforts to stop impaired driving and speeding and increase seat belt usage. There were 791 deaths on Kentucky roads last year, 20 percent of which involved alcohol. Local counties including Ballard, Christian, Graves, Marshall, and McCracken all received funding.
