Louisville, KY – Kentucky food prices are down in the first quarter of this year. A survey from the Kentucky Farm Bureau Federation finds the cost of forty basic grocery items declined 1.6% compared to the fourth quarter of 2009. The decline follows a trend toward cheaper food in Kentucky that began at the end of last summer.
