Frankfort, KY – Amanda's bill has won final passage in the 2010 general assembly. Stu Johnson reports on legislative action last night. Amanda's Bill is named in honor of Ross who was killed outside her Lexington apartment.
Former state lawmaker Steve Nunn stands accused of the crime. The compromise legislation only allows judges to order GPS monitors when there's a substantial violation of an existing domestic violence order. London Senator Tom Jensen adds the cost of monitoring of indigent individuals is still an issue.
