Livingston County, KY – One of Kentucky's few remaining counties without a public library will soon break ground one. Work on the Livingston County library begins in Smithland on May 21st. The project will cost more than 3-point-8 million dollars. Livingston County Judge Executive Chris Lasher says a 190 thousand-dollar federal grant obtained through Representative Ed Whitfield will fund technological purchases. The county will foot the bill for facilities and staff. The group "Friends of the Library" is responsible for stocking the books.
