Paducah's Proposed Riverfront Development Project

By Chris Taylor

Paducah, KY – An Eddyville man has proposed a $65 million Paducah riverfront development project that would see two hotels, 250 condominiums and a marina along Paducah's Ohio River shore. Jeremy Breedlove presented the proposal to Mayor Bill Paxton and McCracken Judge-Executive Van Newberry Friday. The project would require giving the developers 27 acres of riverfront property, along with the Julian Carroll Convention and Paducah Expo Centers, as well as tax incentives. Breedlove is putting together a consortium of investors to back the project and says his group would pay to demolish the 436-room Executive Inn. Paxton and Newberry tell the Paducah Sun Breedlove's plans have piqued their interest, but they would have to learn more about the project and its backers before signing on.
