Madisonville, KY – A former Madisonville nurse will serve five years for reckless homicide in the burning death of a patient. A Hopkins County Circuit Court judge sentenced Deloris Jean Williams yesterday in connection to an incident that occurred in 2007. Williams allegedly set a fire in a patient's room at Harborside Nursing Home. The patient received third degree burns and died from his injuries a week later. The Madisonville Messenger reports Williams had faced murder and arson charges, but those charges were amended to reckless homicide. The judge denied a motion for probation.
