Paducah, KY – Paducah city commissioners will vote next week whether or not to allow alcohol sales by the drink on Sundays for special events, festivals, and fundraisers. The change would amend a city ordinance to allow temporary event licenses to be issued, so that alcoholic beverages could be sold between 1:00 and 10:00 pm. Paducah Spokesperson Pam Spencer says the change has been requested by several organizations that hold on special events on Sundays. The city already allows licensed establishments to sell alcohol by the drink during those times on Sunday.
