Benton, IL – A man who pled guilty to making threats outside the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Marion, Illinois, will serve just over a year in jail. A federal court judge in Benton, Illinois this week sentenced Mark Harmon to one year and one day in jail. Harmon must also serve three years under supervised release. Police arrested Harmon last October outside the hospital where he was waiving a firearm and threatening to shoot those inside the hospital.
