Frankfort, KY – The Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education approved tuition increase ceilings for the 2010-2011 academic year. The council met this morning in Frankfort. Tuition increases for the state's comprehensive public universities, including Murray State University, is capped at five percent. Tuition at the state's community colleges may increase by four percent. The Universities of Kentucky and Louisville can increase their tuition by as much as six percent.
The Murray State board of regents meets May 7 to discuss tuition for the coming school year.
