Paducah, KY – The U-S Department of Energy has chosen Ohio-based Los Alamos Technical Associates Environmental Services as the new cleanup contractor at the Paducah Gaseous Diffusion Plant. The firm will replace Paducah Remediation Services in July following a 3-month-long transition. The 5-year contract is worth $285 million and tasks the firm to handle the ongoing groundwater removal and treatment process, as well as removing and treating surface soil and other contaminants at the site.
