Executive Inn Procures 2nd Proposal

By Chris Taylor

Paducah, KY – A Florida-based company has proposed a renovation and expansion plan to buy Paducah's Executive Inn for $2.3 million. Worldwide Group of Companies of Miami is proposing to spend as much as $40 million to divide the 436-room hotel into two. One would be a Crowne Plaza-Double Tree and would be connected to the convention facilities and the other would be a Holiday Inn with a new indoor water park. The Paducah Sun reports Bill Parsons and Tom Green, two men who led an unsuccessful effort to buy the hotel last year, are involved with the proposal. This is the second detailed plan brought to the city seeking to develop the property. Mayor Bill Paxton says it's still too early to consider any proposals.
