Paducah, KY – The Reidland-Farley fire department board of trustees will wait for a Kentucky State Police investigation to conclude before moving forward with trying to recoup overpayments to former Chief Richard Tapp. Those overpayments were uncovered in an audit which found thousands of dollars were reimbursed for undocumented expenses to not only Tapp, but also former procurement officer Justin Adams. It also found instances of duplicate pay and duplicate reimbursement for the same expense. Trustee Chairman David Humphrey tells the Paducah Sun the board is waiting so as to not hinder the ongoing investigation.
