Paris, TN – Paris Tennessee's Board of Public Utilities may soon offer a prepay option for future bills. General Manager John Etheridge says the system would aid in eliminating a high number of write-offs for those who don't pay their electric bills. The write-off for delinquent accounts in the 2010 third quarter was a little over 37-thousand-dollars. Customers with low credit ratings would be required to either pay a higher deposit to use the prepay option. Those with higher credit would not pay a higher deposit, and would still have the prepay option.
