Paducah, KY – The Greater Paducah Economic Development Council has hired a new director to replace Wayne Sterling, who's retiring at the end of next month. 28-year-old Chad Chancellor will start at the beginning of June. Chancellor is the CEO of the Lawrence County, Tennessee Chamber of Commerce and has worked in economic development throughout the South. Arkansas economic development consultant Del Boyette tells the Paducah Sun Chancellor is one of the most competent and ethical directors he's ever worked with, describing him as energetic, focused and competent in recruiting industry. Chancellor's salary is set for $160,000 a year, some $60,000 less than that paid to outgoing Director Sterling.
